The Fruits of Faith

 The Fruits of Faith

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

— Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)

Faith is a funny thing.

We often think faith would be easier if we could just see what God is doing — if He would simply show us the outcome first. If we knew how the story ended, trusting Him wouldn’t feel so hard.

But that wouldn’t be faith.

Faith isn’t about sight.

Faith is about trust.

It’s confidence in God’s promises even when circumstances feel uncertain.

It’s endurance while we wait longer than we planned.

It’s assurance that He is who He says He is — even when life feels quiet.

Faith in the Waiting

Waiting is where faith is stretched the most.

We pray, we hope, we ask… and sometimes heaven feels silent. The timeline we imagined passes by, and we wonder if we misunderstood God somewhere along the way.

Yet Scripture reminds us:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.

— Isaiah 55:8

God doesn’t work on our schedule.

He works with purpose.

And often, the waiting season isn’t punishment — it’s preparation.

Noah: Faith Before the Evidence

Noah didn’t build the ark after the rain started.

He built it before a single drop fell.

Imagine the obedience that required.

No storm clouds.

No weather forecast.

No cultural support.

Just a word from God.

Day after day, board after board, Noah chose faith over logic. The world likely mocked him, questioned him, maybe even pitied him. But Noah wasn’t building based on what he could see — he was building based on Who he trusted.

That’s what faith looks like in real life.

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.”

— 2 Corinthians 4:18

Building Anyway

Sometimes God asks us to build things before we understand them.

A prayer we keep praying.

A relationship we keep nurturing.

A calling we keep walking toward.

A family we keep covering in love and truth.

We may not see the outcome yet — but obedience always comes before understanding.

God is the Pioneer and Perfecter of our faith.

He never asks us to see the whole plan — only to trust the next step.

Faith Begins at Home

Noah’s ark wasn’t just an act of obedience — it was an act of protection for his family.

Faith often starts the same way for us.

It’s choosing patience in a tense moment.

Choosing prayer over panic.

Choosing love when the day has been long.

Choosing to build a home that points to God even in imperfect moments.

We may never realize how many storms our faith quietly shields our families from.

Let Faith Rise

We live in a loud world that measures everything by what is visible and immediate. But God’s greatest works often happen behind the scenes — in hearts, in waiting seasons, in unseen growth.

Faith calls us to trust that He is moving even when we cannot yet see the rain.

So today, keep building.

Keep praying.

Keep believing.

Keep trusting.

Because the fruits of faith don’t appear instantly —

but they always come.

And like Noah, may our first act of faith always begin with the heart of family — building something that protects, nurtures, and glorifies God.
